FAQs
Do you ship to countries outside of the US?
No. I’m currently operating a one-person show, and I don’t have the wherewithal to figure out all of the legalities of shipping abroad. Hopefully that will change in the future, but for now, I’m limiting sales to the US.
Ummm… Why didn’t any taxes show up on my order?
I’m located in Oregon, which is one of the few states in the country that doesn’t have sales tax! Because this is a very small and very new business, I don’t hit the threshold of sales that would require me to tax my customers based on where they live. It’s actually a pretty huge number at this point in time, so unless things change, you may never have to pay sales tax when you buy from me.
Why are your prices so high? I saw the same product somewhere else for way less.
I set my prices based on many factors. Obviously, a big one is how much I pay for my inventory. I only buy ethically sourced products, and that costs more than if I only sought out the best deals.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of problems within the crystal industry. Bad mining practices, unsafe working conditions for people shaping and polishing stones, misleading images and descriptions, fake crystals, and outright lies about what people are selling enable other companies to sell their products at a lower price than I do. I refuse to buy anything unless I trust the dealer.
Why are your prices so low? I saw the same product somewhere for way more.
I sell my products at the most affordable rate that I can. I get amazing deals from my wholesaler who buys directly from miners and shapes and polishes everything in-house. That means that I’m not buying from middleman after middleman. I also don’t have a storefront at this time. While I would love to have that in the future, I currently don’t have any of the expenses associated with having one. It is important to me that I pass on my savings to my customers.
It also has to be said that there are many stores that sell their products for way more than they’re worth. Price gouging is a huge problem in this industry. Companies also tag on fancy and misleading trade names to their products and charge more for them. I refuse to take part in that unethical practice.
Why don’t you have ______ product?
There are many reasons why I might not have a certain product.
I may not be able find a good source that I am absolutely sure obtained it ethically.
I’m a very small and very new business. I don’t have the money or space to store all the inventory that I would like to have on hand.
I might not have been able to find it at a reasonable price. I don’t currently have the ability to keep very high-priced products on hand.
It may be part of a closed practice. White sage and sweet grass are good examples of products that should never be sold by a white person (which I am), or anyone who is not an Indigenous American.
Can you order a product for me that you don’t currently have?
Maybe! Send me an email or DM me on my socials. It always possible that I have what you’re looking for, but I haven’t had a chance to get it on my website yet. Or I might be able to get it pretty easily for you. Some special orders may require a deposit. And if I am unable to get it for you, I will let you know if there is another business that I trust that you can buy it from.
Why do things look so different in the videos than in the photos.
Honestly, I don’t know, and I’m working on it. I take videos with my phone, and the color looks perfect. Then I post them, and they are way too pale. I’m not an expert on this by any stretch of the imagination. And I’m just one person who has sunk her budget into amazing crystals rather than an amazing camera. I also have no idea how to color correct in a way that doesn’t look fake. It’s a work in progress.
You may now be asking yourself why I include these videos anyway. I think it’s important to show certain products from every angle. I want you to know exactly what you’ll be getting from me. I want you to see the shimmer, flash, and sparkle that can be difficult to capture in a still photo. I want you to see the cracks, caves, and chips that are present on many crystals because they’re part of how nature made them.
I’m really into healing with crystals. Why don’t any of your crystals include physical healing properties.
I used to be an acupuncturist, and I absolutely love alternative medicine and healing. That being said, my personal belief is that crystals can be a lovely adjunct to other treatments, but I don’t use them on their own. I don’t ever want to provide misleading medical information. To my knowledge, there aren’t any scientific studies that deal with using crystals as a healing method.
Luckily, there is a ton of information available in books and online, and you can find the information you’re looking for there. I’m not going to recommend any sources because I don’t have the knowledge needed to identify which ones are good.
If you are struggling with physical or mental health, please seek out a qualified and licensed medical practitioner and don’t rely on magical cures.
